This house proves that you can fix any lot problem with enough money. This beautiful house is built at the base of a mountain so the elevation change from the front lot to the back is quite large. Because the neighborhood is so desirable, they built a large house.

The compromise is they had to tunnel in for the garage and build a bridge so you could reach the front door from the street. The use of stone, curved beams, custom windows and architectural details make me want to see inside. I think the architect did a great job overcoming the lot limitation to make this a spectacular home.

The most well known modern building materials are metal and glass. Both these materials are considered cold materials. Better contemporary designs mix metal and glass with wood and stone to make a warmer feeling space.
